Tarot Card Project - Update

Today, I've completed a significant milestone in my pixel tarot card project. The designs are now based on Renaissance, Baroque, and Gothic aesthetics. Not only have I finished the Major Arcana cards, but I've also designed the back of the cards, ensuring consistency across the entire deck.

Why I Reworked the Cards: I decided to rework the tarot cards because the previous designs felt disconnected from each other. The themes didn’t quite match up, and the overall look seemed inconsistent. To address this, I chose to unify all the cards under one cohesive theme. Now, each card fits seamlessly into a larger, well-defined aesthetic, offering a more visually harmonious experience.

What’s Completed So Far:

  • Aesthetic Direction: Drawing from Renaissance, Baroque, and Gothic aesthetics, I aimed to infuse each card with the elegance of these historical periods. The card frames are delicate and color-coordinated to elevate their visual appeal.

  • Major Arcana: I’ve focused heavily on the symbolism of each card while incorporating elements of the era’s art and architecture. This has helped strengthen the thematic consistency across the deck.

Plans for the Future:

  • Adding Animations: I plan to add animations to the cards, which will bring them to life. Also flip animations.

  • Minor Arcana: While I’ve concentrated on the Major Arcana for now, I will soon begin work on the Minor Arcana. I aim to ensure that these cards align with the Major Arcana both in terms of color palette and overall style.

I’m excited to continue evolving this project and looking forward to adding more details and depth. Feel free to share any feedback—I’m eager to hear your thoughts!
